The JonRocket.com Affiliate Program is a program allowing web site operators to earn revenue for advertising JonRocket.com and the products sold by JonRocket.com. If you have a web site, you can join our program and, if accepted, add special links to our site into your web pages.

When a visitor to your site clicks on one of these links, we store a tag in a "cookie" in his browser so that our site can remember that he arrived at our site from yours. When the visitor adds a product to his shopping cart, we associate your site's affiliate tag with that product. If the person completes a purchase of the product within thirty days, you will receive credit for the sale.

You receive 7% of the selling price of each qualified purchase as a commission. At the end of each calendar month, we will add up your commissions for that month (and add in any unpaid commissions from previous months). Then, we'll subtract the commissions for any products that may have been returned to us during the month. If your balance is $10 or more, we will pay the balance to you using PayPal within 30 days. If your balance is less than $10, it will roll over into the next month.

How Often Do You Pay?

Payments are made once a month when your balance is $10 or more. Payments are made only to PayPal accounts.

How Long is the "Cookie" Duration?

The cookie duration is seven days (unless your cookie is overwritten by that of another affiliate - which is unlikely). During the period in which your cookie is active, products added to the visitor's shopping cart are marked with your affiliate tag. If the products are purchased within thirty days, you will receive credit for the purchase.

Why Isn't My Affiliate Tag Is Displayed At JonRocket.com?

The special links we provide to JonRocket.com contain your affiliate tag. When someone clicks on one of these links, our site sets the affiliate cookie in the visitor's browser then redirects their browser to the proper page at our site. Your affiliate tag is stored in the cookie, so it does not have to appear in the URLs displayed by the browser.

Do You Offer a Data Feed?

We provide web services that supply information on categories and products at JonRocket.com. These services provide URLs complete with your affiliate tag so that you can automate the inclusion of JonRocket.com product information into your web site. The web services output XML which makes it easy for a program or script running on your site to process and use the information.

Is It Possible for Us to Not Receive Credit for a Referral?

If the visitor has disabled cookies in their browser, or deletes the affiliate tracking cookie before returning to our site, any purchases by that visitor will not be credited to you. This should not be a major problem, however, since few visitors will disable or delete the cookie. Although it is highly unlikely that you will be affected by this, we will use alternate methods to track visitors to our site and maintain statistics on the number of users who have disabled cookies. If we determine that you are losing affiliate revenue because of this issue, we will take action such as increasing our commissions or issuing a credit.

How Do I Start?

To get started, you must have a web site of your own. It should be related to rocketry, space, teaching, recreation, or some other subject that attracts visitors who might be interest in purchasing model rocket kits, parts, or supplies.

To apply, fill out the online application and submit it. We will review your site and let you know if we accept your application. Once you're accepted, we will email you information on how to start creating links to JonRocket.com to use on your site.

Do We Earn Commissions On Our Own Purchases?

The intent of the affiliate program is for you to refer others to our site. But, you will earn commissions on your own purchases made through the site if you follow one of your special links to our site. While we reserve the right to remove anyone from the program who abuses this privilege, we don't expect that it will be a problem and encourage you to shop at JonRocket.com.
