Standard chutes are constructed of 1.7oz ripstop nylon. This fabric produces a very stron, durable and packable chute.
Thin mill 1.1 oz nylon chutes work vey well for replacing plastic parachutes on smaller to mid - size rockets. They can be packed very small and tight and will deploy easily.
